Watch: Daniel O’Donnell wows huge crowds as Country Comes to Town in Portadown

Thousands lined the streets of Portadown for Country Comes to Town on Saturday.

Country music royalty, in the shape of Donegal’s Daniel O’Donnell, performed a set in front of huge crowds who flocked to see the legend himself.

The singer also performed a free gig in a storage container in Brownstown Business Park, as part of a new store opening, owned by his son-in-law Gavin Shields.

It was a rare live show from the Irish music legend who says he wants to cut back on the number of live performances he does in order to spend more time with his family.

With no more shows locally, the 58-year-old is only scheduled to perform in Ireland (Killarney) next year – over four consecutive nights.

So, folks in Portadown got a real treat yesterday.
