Armagh artist Máiréad Duffy hosts ‘Memory Lane’ exhibition with lunch and demonstration

The event is for a maximum of 12 people and is suitable for attendees aged 16+

Join County Armagh artist, Máiréad Duffy as she hosts an exhibition tour of her new works from ‘Memory Lane’ displaying many of the beautiful locations to visit in the Co Armagh area.

The exhibition is followed by a painting demonstration and attendees will also enjoy lunch and an opportunity to discuss the exhibition with the artist further.

Memory Lane is a series of new works in acrylics and watercolours and will be showcased on the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre Foyer Walls from March 4 to April 17, 2023.

Máiréad’s work is inspired by the local environment, nature and the built heritage. Her landscapes include prominent places on the Co. Armagh and Tyrone tourist map, Navan Fort, Armagh City, National Trust Properties, Armagh Observatory, The Mall to name a few.

She is also a keen wildlife painter of local flora and fauna, birds and animals found in the Co. Armagh countryside. Memory Lane encompasses a range of special memories for the artist from her childhood, spending time with her grandmother.

The paintings explore the places she used to visit around the Co. Armagh countryside, memories of her grandmother’s cottage and tales about the people and places familiar to her.
