The Tynan and Armagh point-to-point has been postponed.
The annual racing event at Farmacaffley on the Armagh Road was due to take place tomorrow (Saturday, February 25).
It is understood the poor weather over the last week has left organisers with little choice but to postpone the event for a few days.
The race event will go ahead on Wednesday (March 1).
The news will come as a blow to punters who had the date in their diaries for months with the event on a Wednesday not expected to attract the same sort of numbers.
Original entries will still stand.
An annual ritual now for over 100 years, Tynan and Armagh races gives punters the opportunity to get within touching distance of the action, so they can undoubtedly appreciate all the thrills and excitement first hand – action over 13 fences and three miles of Armagh countryside.
