Two charged after seizure of £50,000 of suspected Ecstasy tablets

A 32-year-old man and a woman (30) have been charged with possession and possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug.

They are due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court in the morning (Monday) where, as is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

It is understood the charges follow the seizure of a quantity of suspected Ecstasy tablets, with a street value of £50,000.

The seizure was the result of an operation by the PSNI’s organised crime unit in the Waringstown area of Co Armagh on Friday night.
