Missing Tandragee man went to Dublin for work but hasn’t returned

The sister of a missing Tandragee man has issued an emotional appeal for information on his welfare after failing to return home for a specified date.

Thirty-three-year old Gareth Johnston (Gareth James) was last seen in the Portadown area on Sunday (February 8) at around 10am, according to police.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Taking to social media for support, his sister Nicola explained that he left his Tandragee home that morning and told his family he was “heading to Dublin for work and would be home again on Tuesday afternoon”, sadly she adds, “but he hasn’t returned and we haven’t been able to reach him since”.

She continued: “This is completely out of character, and we are extremely worried.

“Gareth, if you see this — we just want to know you’re safe. Please get in touch.

“If anyone has seen him, spoken to him, or has any information at all, no matter how small it might seem, please message me or my dad, Jimmy Johnston directly.

“If you prefer, you can speak to the police as they are aware of his disappearance and have a case open.”

Police have described Gareth as 5ft 8, stocky build and bald.

He was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, brown boots and a grey flat cap carrying a large black adidas holdall.

If you have any information in regards to Gareth’s whereabouts please contact Police on 101 quoting reference number 1518-10/02/26
