Work to begin on homes for people with additional needs in Camlough

Work is to begin soon on a number of homes in Camlough for people with additional needs.

The news has been welcomed by Sinn Féin Slieve Gullion councillor Oonagh Magennis.

She said: “This is welcome news for the community of Camlough that nine new homes will be built in the area.

“Seven of the houses will be for those with additional needs and the remaining two will be for general needs.

“These homes will be built by Belnew developments, a local business, in association with Arbour housing.”

She added: “Workers and families across the north can find getting their own home tough and this problem is worsened for those with additional needs.

“This project will help ensure that people who may have struggled to secure appropriate housing before will now have access to suitable homes in their community.

“Building homes is a priority for Sinn Féin. We are committed to building 100,000 social and affordable homes over the next 15 years across the north.”
