And they believe they are coming closer to finding James White and Alexis Guesto – also known as Jason Lydiard – after an ongoing operation in south Armagh.

Due to the heightened interest in the ongoing manhunt, Detective Chief Inspector Jill Duffie, of the PSNI Public Protection Branch, has thanked the local community for the information provided so far as part of the search and given an update on the operation.

She said: “We have received a number of positive sightings and officers have gathered evidence which has allowed us to narrow the search area throughout the course of the day.

“I would like to reassure the community in South Armagh that police are committed to locating these individuals as quickly as we can and I would ask anyone who knows where these two men are, or believes they may have seen them to contact us on 101 quoting reference 395 of 28/04/18.
