Police in vigilance plea over men in white van after attempted burglaries in south Armagh

The van - a white Vauxhall Astra - had the registration TCZ 9747

Police are warning the public to be on the look-out for a van which was involved in two incidents in south Armagh on Wednesday.

The white coloured Vauxhall Astra – with the registration plate TCZ 9747 – was in the Camlough area between 4pm and 5pm.

And during that time, two males on board tried to burgle an address on Ballynalack Lane.

Then, moving on to the Tullywinny Road, they attempted to ram the gates of a house. The culprits stole a postbox before making off.

Police in Newry and Mourne are appealing for information and urging vigilance.

A spokesperson said: “If you sight this vehicle around your area or notice any strange or unusual activity around you or your neighbours’ homes that causes concern please report it to us on 101.”
