Man (32) arrested after car smashed up and rammed outside Silverbridge gym released on bail

A man arrested after a car had its windows smashed and rammed outside a Silverbridge gym has been released on police bail.

The 32-year-old was arrested by detectives investigating the report of criminal damage in the Carrive Road area on Monday evening.

It was reported that shortly after 7pm four masked men smashed the windows of a car with a metal bar, then rammed the front of the vehicle with a dark coloured Toyota Avensis.

Police have this morning (Wednesday) confirmed that the 32-year-old “has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries”.

They said their “investigation continues”.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, and saw anything suspicious or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage that could help with our investigation, to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1616 of 30/01/23.”
