A Co Armagh man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a young boy.
Cathal McDonald, with an address in south Armagh, faced two charges of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
The 33-year-old denied both charges, however, a jury found him guilty of on the first charge and acquitted him of the second at Newry Crown Court on Friday.
McDonald stood motionless in the dock as the foreman on the jury delivered the verdict of guilty on count one of sexual assault of a child under 13, which took place on a date between June 14, 2019 and April 13, 2022.
His Honour Judge Gordon Kerr KC ordered a pre-sentence report before releasing McDonald on bail.
He will be sentenced at Newry Crown Court on March 24.
