Emergency crews responded to a call at a farm in south Armagh on Friday afternoon.

The Air Ambulance was also on the scene on the Tullyherron Road area, between Whitecross and Glenanne, around 5pm.

It was understood a man in his 60s was overcome with slurry fumes and was taken away in an ambulance shortly before 6pm.

The cause of the incident remains unknown at this stage but Armagh I understands the injured man is now recovering.

One eye-witness described the emergency response as “large-scale” with fire crews also in attendance.
