Air Ambulance and fire crews at scene of serious crash involving lorry and car

Air Ambulance was tasked to the scene scene of a serious road traffic collision in south Armagh.

It happened on the main Newtownhamilton to Newry Road, at the junction of Tate Road, just before Belleeks.

It is understood a lorry and a car were involved.

Fire crews with specialised cutting equipment attended the scene of the collision.

They were tasked from Crossmaglen, Newtownhamilton and Newry to help free a woman trapped in a vehicle.

The road was closed with motorists asked to avoid the area.
