Six further Covid deaths with 34 more people in hospital in last 24 hours

There are four more Covid patients in Daisy Hill Hospital since yesterday

There have been six further Covid-related deaths reported by the Department of Health today (Tuesday).

All of which occurred in the last 24 hours, according to the official dashboard, which has the overall total now at 730.

There were a further 570 cases reported in that timeframe, with 58 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon and a further 37 in Newry, Mourne and Down.

A total of 2,676 individuals were tested.

There are 413 people now in hospital – that’s 34 more than Monday – as a result of the virus, 51 of whom are in intensive care units – a decrease of one in 24 hours. There are currently 15 ICU beds available in NI.

Seventy-three patients are in Craigavon Area Hospital today – two less than yesterday. To date, 455 patients have been discharged from the Co. Armagh hospital.

There are also 12 – up two – Covid inpatients at Lurgan Hospital and 14 in Daisy Hill – up four – in Newry.
