Motorists performing U-turns in front of Portadown Railway Station could find themselves being slapped with penalties.
The area around the Northway, between Mill Avenue and West Street, is shortly to become subject to a U-turn Prohibition Order.

TransportNI intends to make the changes and has the backing of the PSNI.
Roads Service officials have written to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s chief executive Roger Wilson to outline the plans, which includes erecting signage along the area in question.
In the letter, Roads Service’s Denver Brown reveals: “The proposal has been drawn up due to drivers carrying out U-turn manoeuvres on the Northway to drop off and pick up rail passengers at Portadown Railway Station.”
He says the PSNI has previously highlighted concerns regarding motorists’ behaviour in the area and was in favour of the restrictions being introduced.
It is expected to take two to three months to make the necessary changes to the legislation.
