Three men charged over thefts in Portadown, Antrim and Cookstown areas

Officers observed a vehicle matching a description linked to the reported incidents at commercial premises and stopped it on the M1 near Lurgan

Officers investigating the report of thefts in the Portadown, Antrim and Cookstown areas last week have charged three men.

The three, aged 25, 28 and 38, have been charged with theft and are due to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday) October 3rd.

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges relate to report of a theft from commercial premises in the Portadown, Antrim and Cookstown areas on Thursday.

On Friday afternoon, ANPR Interceptor officers observed a vehicle matching a description linked to the reported incidents and stopped it on the M1 eastbound near the Lurgan junction.

The vehicle was searched and a number of suspected stolen goods were removed from the vehicle.
