
A man has been arrested after a car crashed into a fast food takeaway in Portadown this afternoon (Monday).
The single-vehicle collision happened just before 4pm on Bridge Street, outside the Palazzo Kitchen.
Police have confirmed a man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “Just before 4pm, a car reportedly mounted a kerb off Bridge Street and collided with a shop front causing damage to the window.
“The man arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while under the influence and remains in police custody at this time.”
