Police probe report of latest property ‘marking’ in Scarva today

Police have confirmed they are investigating reports of a white line being painted on a property in Scarva.

The appearance of the marking was reported at around 10am.

It follows recent concerns that properties are being marked with criminal intent in mind.

Police in Banbridge have confirmed they are also following up reports of a blue coloured Toyota Hi-ace van which was seen acting suspiciously in the area of the Rowans and Ballymoney Hill this morning.

The white line had been painted on the kitchen window sill of a house in Scarva.

Police took to Facebook to say they were “issuing a further reminder in relation to the recent property marking that has been already reported to us”.

They urged anyone with information to get in touch by contacting them on the non-emergency number 101.
