The victim of a “cowardly” attack in Newry required surgery, police have said.
Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance regarding the report of a very serious assault that happened along the Armagh Road, near Hickeys Lane in Newry, at approximately 10.30pm on Sunday, December 1.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We do not have any further details as this cowardly attack rendered the victim unconscious for a period of time, subsequently requiring surgery.
