Three males approach young boy and ask him to get into car

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a suspicious approach in the Dunbrae area of Cloughoge in Newry on Sunday 28th August.

It was reported that at around 8pm a young boy was playing in the area when three males, described as being in their early 20s, asked the boy to get into their car.

Constable Nigel Crone said: “The boy done the right thing and reported this to his parents.”

The car is described as black with gold wheels.

Police are appealing for the occupants of the car or for any witnesses with information in relation to this incident to contact officers in Newry on 101 quoting reference number 1274 of 28/08/2016.
