Emergency services are currently dealing with a road traffic collision in Newry this afternoon (Sunday).
A police spokesperson said: “The Rathfriland Road is closed in both directions following a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision this afternoon, Sunday 25th May.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for their journey.”
Ambulance crews are on the scene.
An update is expected in due course.
