Police appeal for information after three burglaries reported in Newry

Detectives in Newry investigating a number of burglaries in the Newry area and have made an appeal for information.

A  burglary in the Cleary Crescent area of Newry yesterday, Saturday, January 16, resulted in a sum of cash being taken.

Two further burglaries are also reported to have occurred on Saturday at properties in the O’Neill Avenue area of Newry.PSNI-officer-007

Detective Sergeant Trish Bardon said: “It is believed these burglaries have occurred in the late afternoon/early evening. Detectives from Newry Reactive and Organised Crime are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with information. The number to call is 101.

“Alternatively information can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
