A man is to appear in court this morning (Thursday) following a stabbing at a house in Newry on Monday evening.
The 44-year-old has been charged with burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, and grievous bodily harm with intent.
The incident happened at approximately 5pm in the Richmond Court area of the city.
He is expected to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A man in his 30’s was taken to hospital for injuries to his upper body. They are not believed to have been life-threatening.
