A lotto luck for keyworker Linda who scoops Hospice rollover jackpot

Newry woman Linda Kennedy has been with the Southern Area Hospice for three years and continued to work throughout the Covid-19 lockdown as a keyworker.

Linda has also supported the charity by playing their weekly lottery and she was shocked to get the news that she won the Hospice lottery rollover prize of £2,400.

“I get to see every day the amazing work my colleagues do to care for and support patients and their families so I know the money I donate to play the Hospice lottery is so worthwhile,” said a delighted Linda.

“I still can’t believe I have won £2,400 and I plan to spend it on doing up my kitchen.

“For only £1 a week I would tell everyone to join the Hospice lottery, it is so worthwhile, and you could be a winner like me someday!”

Southern Area Hospice is a local charity committed to caring for and supporting local people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness including cancer.

Due to Covid-19 majority of Hospice fundraisers remain cancelled or postponed but the Hospice lottery can safely continue each week bringing in a vital source of income during these uncertain times.

The Hospice lottery draw takes place every Friday and costs just £1 per week or £4.34 per month to play. The Hospice lotto guarantees three winners each week; 1st Prize £300 – 2nd Prize £200 – 3rd Prize £100 Plus, a rollover prize of up to £5,000. Winners are computer generated so anyone can win.
