Keep up with Armagh i

Take a dander through Markethill with Santa himself – all in aid of good causes!

Next month, Santa will be taking in different scenery as he forgoes his usual walk in the North Pole for a dander through one Co Armagh town.

The Santa Dander, organised by Markethill Festival Committee, will give families the chance to take a leisurely stroll through the town with the man of the season leading the way.

Afterwards there’ll be time for children to chat with Santa and pose for some photos.

The walk will start at 10am on Saturday December 4 at the Masonic Hall, heading down main street before returning once more.

There is a £2 registration fee to be involved, under threes go free, and all those who pre-register will get a free Santa hat to wear and take home.

Funds will be going towards; NI Air Ambulance, Chest Heart and Stroke, PIPS, Inspire Wellness, Versus Arthritis and Stroke NI.

Spaces are beginning to fill up and due to insurance numbers are limited so early registration is encouraged.

If you are interested in getting involved you can do so by messaging the Markethill Festival on their Facebook page of contacting Jacqueline on 07749653573.
