Woman admits stealing goods including clothing and hair trimmer from Asda

She is due back in court on August 16

A Lurgan woman who stole various items from a local Asda will be sentenced next month.

Court heard the 45-year-old stole items to an unknown value including clothing and a hair trimmer.

Michelle Casey, of Donnelly Gardens, pleaded guilty to attempted fraud by false representation, theft and fraud by false representation at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

It was heard that on April 11, the defendant stole goods including items of clothing and a hair trimmer to an unknown value belonging to Asda.

After her plea was entered, District Judge Bernie Kelly commented that a pre-sentence report would be required in the case.

Casey was released to appear before the Magistrates’ Court on August 16 for sentencing.
