Two Co Armagh men in court accused of damaging Sinn Fein election poster

They are due back in court on July 3

Craigavon Magistrates Court

Two Co Armagh men have appeared in court accused of damaging a Sinn Fein election poster.

A police constable said they believed the pair could be connected to the charges.

Alan William Boyce, 27, of Primrose Hill, and Gary McCullough, 28, of Malcolm Road, Lurgan, both appeared charged with criminal damage at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Court heard the alleged offence occurred on May 25 and referred to an election poster belonging to Sinn Fein.

As they stood in the dock both men confirmed they understood the charges for which they were before the court.

Defence counsel raised no questions when a constable said they believed the defendants could be connected to the alleged offence.

Prosecution stated that a decision had been made on the case and it was to proceed as per the charges before the court.

The case was adjourned until July 3 when the defendants will have to enter their plea.
