A children’s soft play centre in Lurgan is launching its very own Summer Pass to help make family-fun during the holidays that little bit more stress-free and affordable.
Located at Unit 3 Quarry Business Park, Treehouse Softplay Centre has been a safe and fun space for children since experienced children’s entertainment providers Stuart and Katie Patterson took up the reins in October 2023.
Speaking to Armagh I, Katie said: “It’s been a whirlwind and a learning curve” but despite the initial hurdles of opening a business it’s clear they have the enthusiasm and determination to bring it to new heights.
The most important aspect for Katie, is that the children and families who visit are catered for in every aspect – from varied activities to safety and enjoyment to incredible value.
Drawing on past experiences, the mum-of-two said: “As a parent, I’ve been to other soft play centres and birthday parties. We didn’t see the same care and attention given that we would have loved to have seen.
“At Treehouse Softplay our goal is to provide a high-quality experience and atmosphere.”
Today, Treehouse Softplay opens seven days a week and can host parties any time or day of the week.
Similarly, it was Stuart and Katie’s own life experiences that led to the creation of the Summer Pass.
She added: “Whenever we go on day trip with our family its at least £60 for the day and not everybody can afford those prices anymore.
“With the Summer Pass, once you have purchased the pass that’s them in for two months.”
For the set price of £45 the Summer Pass provides unlimited access during all normal opening hours alongside participation in all free activities 10am – 1pm Monday to Friday; including arts & crafts, character visits, balloon modelling, colouring competitions and free ice-cream!
On top of the Summer Pass, Katie is also introducing a Safe Space to Run Pass for children with additional needs.
Said Katie: “The Safe Space to Run Pass includes unlimited access to all our quiet sessions. These sessions are limited to 25 children maximum and must be prebooked to ensure we can keep numbers low.
“We reduce the noise, turn off the music and just allow the kids a safe space to burn off some steam.
“Parents have said once the school routine finished, it’s very difficult to keep their kids in an active, healthy routine so the goal of the safe space experience is to create routine.”
During the Safe Space to Run sessions the music and lights will be reduced to create a comfortable atmosphere for children with additional needs.
The Safe Space to Run Pass is priced at £40 and runs Monday – Friday 9am – 10am, Wednesday 5pm – 6pm and every other Sunday from 11am – 12pm.
Both passes are due to commence on June 22 and will last until August 31.

There is no minimum number of children for party bookings and exclusive hire can be granted out of normal operational hours.
Monthly Events
Treehouse Softplay Centre host special events once or twice a month.
- Fundays, princess dress up, characters visits, storytelling, arts and crafts, petting zoo and themed holiday events
Both passes give 10% discount for events and in their on-site cafe for the full two months.
They are also running a Summer Party offer for any party booked in July or August where the birthday child goes free alongside Summer Food Offerings to help parents with being able to enjoy eating out with their kids.

Tea Time offer – buy an adults meal between 3.30pm and 5.00pm and get a child’s meal free
