A suspected petrol bomb attack on a Lurgan home on Tuesday night has prompted a police investigation.
Police said they received a report shortly before 7.55pm on Tuesday, January 13, that a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at a house in the Campbell Walk area of the town.
Inspector Ritchie confirmed the incident caused damage to the front of the property but there were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was quickly extinguished limiting the extent of the damage.
The NI Fire and Rescue Service was also called to the scene. Firefighters received the call at 8.11pm and one appliance from Lurgan Fire Station attended the incident.
A fire service spokesperson said the fire had been extinguished prior to their arrival. Crews carried out precautionary checks at the property and confirmed that all gas readings were normal.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been deliberate ignition, and the incident was dealt with by 8.54pm.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers.
