New £750,000 housing development will see wasteland blossom

It is phase 2 of the Co Armagh development

A new £750,000 county Armagh housing development has got the thumbs up.

The 10-house development in Lurgan has been given the green light almost a year after the application was first lodged.

That application, lodged by Farad Enterprises in June 2016, had changed from original plans to build 18 apartments.

The development will see 10 brand new two-storey residential homes built next to River Glade Manor.

This will be Phase 2 of the initial Riverglade Development.

It will see the land between The Centre Point Bowl and Eurospar on the Portadown Road no longer lie empty.

There has been no date set for work to commence but it is expected in the coming weeks.

Permission was granted by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
