County Armagh cafes ransacked in early morning robberies

Two county Armagh cafes were targeted in the early of this morning.

A laptop and cash were among the items stolen from both properties.

This afternoon, police have appealed for information following the two burglaries at commercial premises in the North Street area of Lurgan that occurred in the early hours.

Sometime between 1.45am and 2.15am, two separate cafes were broken into.

Constable Andrew Leeman said: “Some money and a laptop was taken from one premises, while a sum of money was taken from the other.

“I would ask anyone with any information about these two burglaries to contact Lurgan Police Station on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 173 291015 or 192 291015.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
