Parents have been asked where their children are following concerns of an organised fight in Lurgan this evening (Saturday).
Police have been alerted to the fight which appears to have been set up, in the north of the town, via social media.
Sinn Féin councillor for the area, Keith Haughian has asked parents and carers to check where their children are tonight.
“There appears to be an organised fight due to happen which was set up over social media,” he wrote.
“Large numbers of quite young children are present at the MUGA pitch. If your child is out tonight please contact them and ensure they are not involved.
“This is dangerous but also completely unfair on local residents. I have contacted the PSNI to make them aware also.”
