Major changes are on the way for Loughgall Country Park with plans to upgrade the Lakeside Trail.
The County Armagh attraction is set to undergo what many regard as a long overdue makeover.
With much of the focus over recent years being on Gosford Forest Park at Markethill, there have been calls for additional improvements to be made at Loughgall Country Park.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have gone out to tender in a bid to find the ideal team for an upgrade of the existing Lakeside Trail.
The works – which would take around six weeks to complete – would involve various aspects.
The levels of the existing path of the popular trail would be raised.
And new bollards would be put in place.
Gates would be removed and the old signage taken away and replaced with new signs.
Anyone interested in making an application to the tender process has until Monday, February 13, to do so.
