In Pictures: A-Level success at St Patrick’s High School in Keady

2024 has been a great year in St Patrick’s High School, Keady, students achieved superb A Level results, the reward for all their hard work.

71% of students have received A* – C. This year Examination Boards returned to pre pandemic standards meaning that this cohort of pupils deserve special recognition for their tenacity, dedication and work ethic. This has resulted in an increase of 20% A* – C from Pre pandemic standards.

25% of students achieved 3 top grades, A* – B, including at least 1 A* or A. with some achieving straight A grades and others obtaining 2 A* grades. Top grades were achieved in a variety of subject areas including STEM and the Arts.

Principal, Mrs McKenna, said: “Our students are a credit to themselves, our school and their families, the results they have achieved are simply superb. They are a very talented year group who deserve to enjoy continued success.

“The care and support students receive in St Patrick’s is outstanding, each and every pupil is unique and their talents have been nurtured and celebrated, this has culminated in our celebration of their A2 results.

“The high grade profile achieved by our students will mean that the majority should gain entry to the university of their choice or to follow a Higher Level Apprenticeship. I am immensely proud of each and every pupil.”

Glennis Doherty, Senior Teacher for Sixth Form, added: “The results are fantastic and reflect the high standards that we set for our students in Sixth Form. Our students can be justifiably proud of all the hard work that has underpinned their success. I wish them well on whichever pathway they choose.”
