Daytime burglaries in Armagh city have become a priority for police while officers in Keady and keen to crack down on illegal drugs in the town.

The PSNI say they have increased anti burglary patrols across the area, in particular the estates during the days when persons are at work.

They continue to perform leaflet drops in areas at risk and are working in conjunction with colleagues from the Armagh City Council to deliver free home safety checks to the elderly and those most at risk.

Police have also carried out drug searches in the Keady area and made a number of seizures and prosecutions.

The public are urged to contact police with information to assist in the detection and prosecution of offenders who supply illegal drugs to members of our community.

The PSNI are also trying to tackle anti-social behaviour, burglaries and low-level street crime in Lurgan.
