A south Armagh family have lost two vehicles in the latest creeper style burglary to blight the area.
The culprits broke into the family home at Belleeks during the early hours of yesterday morning, Saturday, January 30.
They helped themselves to the keys for a van and jeep and made off in them.
Local Councillor Roisin Mulgrew has been in contact the family and says they have been left “shocked and angry” at becoming the latest victims of this spree.
“It is shocking that these thugs can so blatantly violate someone’s home with absolutely no regard for the occupants or their property,” said the Sinn Fein representative.
“It is essential for anyone with information as to who is responsible for these thefts, where these vehicles are being stored, or to whom these vehicles are being sold, comes forward to the PSNI.
“The theft of property in these types of crime comes second to the stress and upset caused by knowing these individuals have been brazen enough to violate a family home and all efforts must be made to get those responsible caught.”
