Plans for poultry unit for 16,000 birds between Cookstown and Dungannon

Mid Ulster District Council’s planning department is currently assessing an application that, if approved, will see a free range poultry unit capable of housing 16,000 birds erected between Cookstown and Dungannon.

Lodged by agent Revelins Hill Design on behalf of applicant G and R McIvor, the application seeking the build a new free range poultry unit and shed for storage of equipment and plant for up to 16,000 free range birds at lands approximately 242m north east of 27 Killygarvan Road.

Permission is also sought for new concrete aprons, meal silos, landscaping and new storm water attenuation at the site which will utilise existing access onto Killygarvan Road.

Received on Friday, January 7, Council’s planners validated the application on Tuesday, January 11.

The application will be advertised until Thursday, February 10.
