Man accused of making indecent images of children to be sentence for similar offences in Crown

Dungannon Court

A man accused of making indecent images of children is due to be sentenced for similar offences at the Crown Court.

The 42-year-old had his case moved to Dungannon Crown at the request of the judge presiding over that court.

Jonathon Conaghan, whose address is unknown, appeared charged with nine counts of making indecent images of children at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

As the charges were read out, it was heard that all the offences related to the period between January 1 and April 29, of 2015.

Stood in the dock, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.

Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.

Defence counsel made no contrary submissions.

Conaghan was remanded in custody to appear at Dungannon Crown Court on December 6 at the bequest of the judge, when he is to be sentenced for similar offences.
