A Craigavon man accused of collecting information – ‘an image of a private vehicle’ belonging to a PSNI officer – ‘likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism’ – has had his bail varied to allow him to go to a caravan in Donegal.
Sean Patrick Martin (41), of Carrigart Manor, is charged in relation to July 6, 2023.
Also on that day he is charged with ‘publishing or communicating information about an individual who is or has been a constable in the Police Service of Northern Ireland which was of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism’.
At Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday the defendant had his bail varied to allow him to go to a caravan over the border from Friday until May 5 and he is to report to a PSNI station on Monday evening at the end of the trip.
A defence barrister said there had been a similar bail variation before and the new variation was not being opposed.
Last year the defendant had bail varied to go to Dublin to watch Armagh GAA team.
