Four men disturbed during attempted break-in make off in silver Vauxhall estate

Four men were disturbed during a suspected burglary in the Bleary area of Craigavon last night (Thursday).

It is understood they made off in a silver Vauxhall estate car with an English registration number.

They made off in the direction of the Portadown/Gilford Road.

If you have any information please contact police on 101 CC2019022101327.

The incident comes less than 24 hours after a resident in Lurgan awoke to a torch light being shone through a window.

SDLP activist Ciaran Toman said the incident happened in the Taghnevan area and warned residents to be on the look out.

He said it was “very disturbing” to hear that two people were having “a nosey” around people’s homes in the Riverglade Manor/Taghnevan area.

Mr Toman said: “Luckily the resident was woken by a torch shone through the living room window and scared the two people off by opening the door.”

Residents are being urged to be vigilant and ensure all your property is secured.
