Man in his 20s dies following utility vehicle collision near Loughbrickland

A man in his 20s has died following a road traffic collision near Loughbrickland this morning, Friday, October 9, police have confirmed.

Detective Inspector Stewart, from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “At approximately 5.50am, we received a report of a single vehicle collision on the Old Mill Road involving a Polaris Ranger.

“Officers attended, alongside colleagues from other emergency services, but sadly the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The Old Mill Road, which was closed for a time, has now fully reopened.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or to anyone with dash-cam or other footage that could assist with the investigation, to contact detectives using the witness appeal form at www.reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals quoting reference 175 of 09/10/26 or call 101.
