Irish country music icon Declan Nerney has been inducted into the Irish Country Music Hall of Fame, cementing his status as a beloved national treasure. The honour was bestowed during the Late Late Country Music Special, where Nerney received his award to the delight of fans and fellow artists alike. A Lifetime of Music, Charm, and Heartfelt Storytelling.
Born in Drumlish, County Longford, Nerney’s early passion for music was shaped by the vibrant showband scene. At just 16, he joined his first band, The Hi-Lows, and soon after became a fixture on stages across Ireland. His breakthrough came with the autobiographical hit “The Marquee in Drumlish”, a tribute to his childhood and the cultural heartbeat of rural Irish music.
Over more than four decades, Nerney has crafted a catalogue brimming with signature songs that resonate across generations—”Stop the World (and Let Me Off)”, “Anna from Fermanagh”, “Three Way Love Affair”, and others—all co-written with collaborator Henry McMahon.
A dedicated performer and storyteller, Nerney has remained ever-present in the Irish country music scene. He often returns to headline historic venues and festivals—such as the “Marquee in Drumlish,” which he celebrates as “one of the top ten events in Ireland.” Join Declan and his fantastic band with special guests Hugo Duncan and Effie Neill for a memorable night of music, song and fun.

NT Live Screening: All My Sons
16 Apr 2026
Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths) feature in a five-star, triumphantly acclaimed new production of Arthur Miller’s classic play, from visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge).
One family, the heart of the American dream. When wartime delivers profits for Joe, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action. Will peacetime bring peace of mind, or will he be confronted by the consequence of his actions?
Filmed live from the West End, Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You), Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon), and Hayley Squires (I, Daniel Blake) also feature in this disturbingly prescient play.
Directed by Ivo Van Hove
Design by Jan Versweyveld

Clubsound: The Band Who Couldn’t Retire Tour
3 May 2026
Production by:TCB Productions
Clubsound are the only showband left on the road today!
A brilliant bunch of musicians led by the inimitable George Jones, Clubsound kept us laughing (mostly at ourselves) through the dark days of our “troubles”.
Brilliant sketches like Shankill Airways, Andy McFadden and his funky wee 5-piece band, Daddy’s wee balloons, the reluctant exile Belfast Belfast will all be included in the show. Also showcased will be the absolutely brilliant musicianship of this legendary band.
2026 is their 56th year on the road (despite trying to retire for the last 20). Every time they “retire” the phone starts ringing, and they’ve been talked into the aptly named ‘The Band Who Couldn’t Retire Tour’. Clubsound are quite simply our own national treasure so let’s make this tour one to remember. Don’t wait until they actually do retire!
We would remind you that some of the sketches and jokes are of their time and not for the faint-hearted or easily offended.
