Young entrepreneur Rachelle Mackin in line for two prestigious business awards

Just four months on from her initial opening, Pet Domain owner Rachelle Mackin, is delighted to see that the hard work in setting up business for herself is already beginning to pay off.

It came as a massive shock, but a very welcome surprise, for Rachelle to find out on May 2 that she had been nominated and shortlisted for, not just one, but two, business awards!

“When I found out, I was delighted, as I was nominated by my customers, which reassured me that I must be doing something right,” beamed Rachelle.

Pet Domain, located at the GO filling station on the Portadown Road, has firstly been shortlisted as a Finalist for Independent Pet Shop of The Year in the Northern Ireland Pet Awards 2022.

The award presentation night is due to take place in Belfast on June 4 – an event Rachelle is very much looking forward to. Until then, voting remains open across the various categories. You can help improve Pet Domain’s chances of scooping the award by placing your vote here.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Rachelle was then informed that a panel of thirteen judges had shortlisted Pet Domain for Best Start Up or Emerging Business in the prestigious Belfast Telegraph Business Awards 2022. There will also be a gala event for these awards, due to take place May 26.

Let’s hope she successfully “collars” the awards!
