Woman in court accused of causing criminal damage at Armagh City Hotel

She was released on bail with a condition that she is not to enter the hotel premises

Armagh City Hotel

A Dublin woman accused of damaging property belonging to the Armagh City Hotel has appeared in court.

Court heard that a condition attached to the 33-year-old’s bail prohibited her from entering the Friary Road premises.

Joanna Gordon, of Woodford Heights, appeared charged with criminal damage at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

As the charges were read out, it was heard the alleged offence occurred on September 19 and was committed on property belonging to Armagh City Hotel.

Standing in the dock, the defendant confirmed that she understood the charge.

A constable stated that he believed he could connect Gordon to the offence.

Defence counsel made no contrary submissions and did not wish to put any questions to the constable.

Prosecution said that a full file was still outstanding in the case and asked for a four week adjournment until December 10.

The defendant was released on her own bail of £200 with a condition of this being not to enter the Armagh City Hotel.
