Watch: How NOW Group helps people with learning difficulties get into the workplace

Since its formation, the social enterprise has expanded out across Northern Ireland, including to the ABC area

This is part one of our ‘Hidden Disabilities’ video series, in partnership with Duality Healthcare.

For our new ‘Hidden Disabilities’ video series, we have been speaking to people and organisations all across County Armagh who are keen to highlight unseen challenges faced by many within our community.

While most of us may not notice it on the outside, there are people who suffer from a wide range of hidden disabilities such as learning difficulties, autism and neurodiversity that can make every day life a challenge.

Unfortunately, as some of these conditions may not manifest themselves in obvious ways, many of us can be unaware of how we can help improve the lived experiences of those who suffer from them.

For part one of our new series, we spoke to Jennifer Hamill and Megan Bothwell, the employment officers for NOW Group in the ABC Council area.

NOW Group is a Belfast-based organisation that supports people with learning difficulties and autism to get into jobs in the future.

Since its formation, the social enterprise has expanded out across Northern Ireland, including to the ABC area.

If you would like to make a self-referral, or referral on behalf of someone with any learning difficulties, autism, or neurodiverse conditions, that could benefit from NOW Groups support to getting into employment, further education or training, please see below contact details for NOW Groups employment officers in the Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon area.

Equally if you have any queries, just send Jennifer or Megan an email and they will be happy to help.
