Two taken to hospital after ‘serious’ Moy Road collision

Ambulance Service say collision was reported at around 5pm

Two people were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the Moy Road earlier this evening (Tuesday).

Two cars were involved in what is believed to have been a head-on collision, according to eyewitnesses and local residents.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The Air Ambulance was also tasked.

The collision had been reported at around 5pm.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a large amount of glass and debris strewn across the main road, close to the T-Met premises.

The PSNI attended and the road was closed in both directions due to the collision, which they were describing as “serious”.

The NI Ambulance Service medics assessed two people at the scene.

They have been taken to Craigavon Area Hospital, the extent of their injuries not known at this stage.

There are no further details at present.
