A road racing champion whose younger brother is battling leukaemia has teamed up with Cancer Fund for Children and asked its incredible children to help design his race helmet for next season.
Jonathan Watt says he wants to show his appreciation and spread awareness for childhood leukaemia.
His younger brother, Theo Smyth, an 11-year-old from Armagh, is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Jonathan has shared a number of cool designs on his Facebook page, asking the public to vote on their favourite. The design with the most reactions will be chosen for his 2023 race season.
Posting on social media, he wrote: “Throughout Theo’s journey he (and our family) have received support from so many great people and charities.
“I have decided to show our appreciation and spread awareness for childhood leukaemia by doing something a little different for my 2023 race season.
“I have teamed up with Cancer Fund for Children and asked some of their amazing children to design my helmet for next season. Just like the children behind the designs they are all fabulous and I can’t choose myself.
“That’s where you guys come in… vote for your favourite design by reacting to the pictures below. The design with the most reactions will be transformed into my new race helmet!
“I’d like to thank all the kids that participated and praise them for their fantastic work. I’d also like to thank Cancer Fund for Children for all of their hard work behind the signs and the amazing work they do! Get voting guys!”
