Armagh I has been inundated with complaints tonight over traffic congestion across the city.
Ongoing roadworks in the area of Railway Street and Lonsdale Road have been causing absolute chaos.
And to make matters worse, a digger has been left blocking the road making it virtually impassable.
One person who contacted us said: “There are tailbacks right out the Moy Road. No matter where you go it is queued up.
“It’s faster to walk than to drive. The situation has just got beyond a joke.”
Another said the situation on Banbrook Hill was out of control and it was only going to get worse when the schools return after the half-term break.
He added: “They are never done digging up Armagh. Is it any wonder people go elsewhere? We are just one long traffic jam that never seems to end. It would make you mad.”
The motorist said he had sat for close to an hour to get from past St Luke’s Hospital on the Loughgall Road as far as the closest roundabout.
And he said: “It’s about time people contacted their local representatives and got them to make complaints on their behalf. The Roads Service, Water Service or whoever is responsible for this nightmare has a lot to answer for.
“It’s just not good enough and it has to end. The whole city has just stopped moving. Has anyone checked for a pulse?”
