Linen Court Hostel

A man in his 30s died suddenly at a hostel in Armagh city this week.

Police attended the incident at Linen Court Hostel in the city centre on Tuesday night.

An ambulance crew was also called to the scene just before midnight.

A PSNI spokesperson, speaking to Armagh I, said: “Police officers were called to and attended the scene of the sudden death of a young man aged in his 30s at a property in the Linenhall Street area of Armagh on Tuesday, March 20.”

Police have confirmed that after initial inquiries, the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

Last month, a man fell from a second floor window at the property which the police at the time described as “non-suspicious”.

He was taken by ambulance to Craigavon Area Hospital for treatment to back injuries sustained during the fall.

Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this tragic time.
