Police have confirmed there was “nothing untoward” found in an extensive river search for a missing teenager overnight.
Emergency services were tasked to the scene of a suspected persons in the Callan River close to the Killylea Road around 11pm on Saturday night.
The search, which included the fire service, was concluded earlier this morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police previously recieved a report of a person having entered the stream close to Mullacreevie, Armagh last night.
“We would like to take this opportunity to reassure those concerned that the area was extensively checked by police and the fire service.
“Thankfully nothing untoward was found.“
