New currency exchange Bureau opens in Armagh offering best rates in town

Dublin Road Bureau, Armagh

A new currency exchange Bureau has opened in Armagh, pledging to offer the best rates in town.

The new store, opened on Dobbin Street, is a branch of Dublin Road Bureau, which already runs two branches in Newry and one in Aughnacloy.

For over 20 years, the business has been consistently outperforming the banks by offering competitive currency exchange rates without any concealed charges and commissions.

This latest expansion means Armagh customers won’t have far to look to get the best deal in advance of their travels.

Dublin Road Bureau’s expert team keep close eyes on currency markets and update their exchange rates daily in-line with the interbank rates of the day.

Caolán Trainor, Director of Operations at Dublin Road Bureau, took over the family business in 2019 and works between the four branches.

He said: “After getting the grasp of the business, I wanted to drive it forward and open more premises. After two years we opened our third branch (after Newry and Aughnacloy) on the same road as our first branch.

“We saw an opening come up in Armagh and we came across this premises on Dobbin Street and we thought it was perfect.”

He added: “We wanted to expand our great rates and services to cover the Armagh area because we felt they were getting neglected.

“Last week the Post Office were giving £1.06 for Sterling to Euro. We were giving £1.16. That’s a 10p difference.”

So far, the Bureau in Armagh has proven a success as more people discover the great services they have on offer.

“We’ve been in now for four weeks and it’s going exceptionally. We’re over the moon, ” Caolán said.

The Bureau are also seeking staff for the new branch, with exciting opportunities available for counter staff.

Dublin Road Bureau also offer services for business customers, handling all currency and cash transfer needs.

The Bureau has also introduced card payments in all branches, to cater for those who don’t use cash.

“As the business continues to grow, there is also potential for expansion into the North Tyrone and Derry areas too.

Caolán continued: “We offer a friendly, professional, prompt and discrete service. All our staff are highly-trained and we comply with all the regulations.

“We’re guaranteed to beat the banks and Post Offices in the area, plus we provide special rates for business customers.”
